JIZO

$80.00

Framed limited edition of 8

When travelling in Japan I was fascinated with lovely statues of Jizo, sometimes dressed in red cloth. I wasn't the only one obsessed with them, Jizo is loved by most Japanese people! The primary role of Jizo (called womb of the earth) is to protect children, also this unborn and help them reincarnate again. That's right Jizo came back to my mind when I started to work on the collection of linocuts inspired by the violations of women's rights in Poland, especially the right to abortion.
The other role of Jizo is to protect travellers, which is why you will often find Jizo statues on the side of the roads. Jizo statues are highly likable, as it is said that Jizo becomes close to everyone, especially people who are in trouble.

It is possible to deliver for free our car in Toronto in 1 day and $1 per km from Fleet St. Express delivery.
It is a possible personal pickup on Fleet St, Toronto, 24/7.
The black frame is like in the picture. It is a basic one but with attaching support to stand alone on a shelf.
